Education and Training: I received my initial education and training with Hypnosis with Omni Hypnosis Center of Washington, D.C. and also with ICBCH(International Certification Board of Clinical Hypnotherapy. I continue to ongoing training annually to keep current on new methods and updates to maintain highest level possible for best results for my clients. I am certified by the National Guild of Hypnotists, which is the oldest and largest Hypnosis organization in the world—and this organization is most widely recognized for the professional practice of Hypnosis.
Notice: The state of Maryland has not adopted educational and training standards for the practice of Hypnosis. The statement of credentials is for informational purposes only. Hypnotism/Hypnosis is a self-regulating profession and its practitoners are not licensed by state governments. I am neither a physician or a licensed healthcare provider, I am not a mental healthcare provider. I do not diagnose or recommend any discontinuance of medically prescribed treatments. If a client wishes a diagnosis or any other type of treatment from a different practitoner, the client may seek such services at any time. In the event my services are terminated by a client, the client has the right to coordinate transfer of services to another practitioner. The client has a right to refuse Hypnosis services at any time. A client has the right to free of physical, verbal, sexual abuse. The client has the right to know expected duration of sessions and may assert any right without retaliation.
Redress: I am a certified member of the National Guild of Hypnotists, and practice in accordance with its Code of Ethics and Standards. If you may have a complaint about my services or behavior that I cannot resolve for you personally, you may contact the National Guild of Hypnotists—P.O. Box 308—Merrimack, NH 03054-0308, or call 1-603-429-9438. Other services then my own may be available in your community. You may choose these providers/services through online search or telephone book.
Insurance: I suggest you think of my services as something you will pay for personally. That will protect your privacy and help you value the work you are doing more. In general, insurance companies do not cover Hypnosis services, and caution you not to expect them to do so.
My approach: I see and treat the whole person, mind, body, spirit. All are interconnected and cannot work one without the other. I see myself as if a coach, guiding you to where you need to be for positive change to occur. “Being in the zone.” None of us are broken. Sometimes there are sticking points that need to be addressed. Hypnosis allows those unique resources that are within ourselves to rise to the surface, allowing for each of us to be in control and having the best life possible.
